Revd. Phil Bradshaw
Phil grew up in the Wirral, where he attended Birkenhead School before going on to study classics and philosophy at The Queen’s College, Oxford. He worked for the National Coal Board for a number of years, during which time he married Margaret, a Londoner who trained as a nurse at Guy’s Hospital and who would later work for many years as a Health Visitor in Horley.
In 1974 Phil and Margaret joined the Community of Celebration, a mixed residential Anglican community (sometimes called the Fisherfolk) which originally had several branches. In 1991 Phil was ordained to serve in the Community, and although it is now only based in the USA Phil and Margaret remain members on detached service. Phil is retired but continues to hold the Bishop’s Permission to Officiate (PTO) licence in Southwark Diocese.
