We think everyone will remember where they were when watching King Charles III being crowned. We shared the moment with such a lovely bunch of people in St John's Community Centre, including one special 95-year-old lady who had fond memories of the Queen's coronation.
Families that had not been to St John's before came along and the children were super well-behaved (even if the event was a bit too long) and very happy playing in the reception area with a great selection of toys and games.
The food provided by church volunteers received many positive comments and was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone. Another memorable moment, when the King was crowned, we all stood and toasted his good health with a glass of bubbly.
Everyone had made an effort with their attire, wearing red, white and blue with crowns and tiaras. A photo booth captured many funny moments of families and friends wearing props and waving their flags.
As a voluntary, church community, we made a lot of people happy and gave them (and us) some great, fun memories.
